Aston Martin Red Bull Racing driver Alex Albon completed 134 laps of the Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya on the second day or pre-season testing. His quickest effort, 1:17.912, was the fourth fastest time of the day.

Alfa Romeo’s Kimi Raikkonen was quickest (1:17.091) ahead of Sergio Perez (Racing Point) and Daniel Ricciardo (Renault). Mercedes proved the most productive team with Lewis Hamilton completing 106 laps in the morning whilst his team mate Valtteri Bottas clocked 77 laps in the afternoon, totalling 183 laps for the German outfit.

Meanwhile, Sebastian Vettel had his first run in the new Ferrari and Esteban Ocon made his return to F1 in the new Renault.

Thursday’s testing also saw the first red flag of pre-season testing when Kimi Raikkonen stopped trackside. The issue appeared to be planned by Alfa Romeo to test how long their car can drive with a tank of fuel.

Tomorrow, both Max Verstappen and Alex Albon will continue testing for Red Bull with the Dutchman driving in the morning and his team mate in the afternoon.
