Max looking forward to chill holiday: 'Christmas with family, New Year at home'

Published on 20 December 2019 by Mike Motilall

Max Verstappen and Alex Albon took their time reflecting on the 2019 Formula 1-season. Both Aston Martin Red Bull Racing-drivers took turns in questioning each other while they were at the factory in Milton Keynes.

Regarding his overtakes this year, the Dutchman had the following to say: “My move round the outside on Hamilton in Brazil was nice. Also the fight I had with Leclerc on Silverstone. Ferrari was slow pace wise, but they were super fast on the straights. I caught up with him every time and was always there, but was never really able to get him. Those were six intense minutes of action.”

Asked about his plans during the off season, until the intensive physical preparation gets underway again in January, Max replies: “I will spend Christmas with my family. At home in Monaco, I will be celebrating New Year. During my time off I don’t want to travel too much and I also want to stay at home, because I need to keep my sim racing up and running. Pretty chill.”
