Max Verstappen voted Driver of the Day in Monaco

Max Verstappen has been voted ‘Driver of the Day’ for the second time this season after finishing fourth fastest in Monaco. Fans worldwide casted their votes during the Monaco Grand Prix. The Dutchman ultimately amassed the majority of those votes.

Starting from third, Max barely stayed ahead of Valtteri Bottas’ Mercedes during his pitstop after a safety car situation. Due to an unsafe release after his stop, the youngster was slapped with a five-second time-penalty. Although Max crossed the line in second - having been breathing down race winner Lewis Hamilton’s neck for the majority of the race - the penalty ultimately ranked him fourth on the leaderboard.
