After a pit-stop at the beach, were Pierre Gasly took surfing lessons from Aussie legend Mick Fanning, Max Verstappen and his French Aston Martin Red Bull Racing team mate appeared on Federation Square in Melbourne. There, all ten Formula 1 teams were welcomed by a huge crowd.

On the podium, the two Red Bull Racing drivers were joined by their team principal, Christian Horner. Max told the race fans: “This is a bit different then we’re used to, but it’s awesome to see so many people. I can’t wait for the lights to go off on Sunday.”

He continued: “It was nice to have a winter break but I was keen to get back in the car. It was great when that time finally came. In Barcelona, we were able to get to know and discover our new partnership with Honda. These are exciting times for us.”

Before the RBR-trio left the stage, Horner added: “We’ve got an exciting new partnership with Honda, that properly starts this weekend. We enjoyed a positive start in Barcelona but we have to remain realistic: we’ve got a big gap to close towards Ferrari and Mercedes, but we’re convinced that throughout the year, we will. With our driver line-up and strong team, I’m looking forward to starting here in Melbourne.”
