Exclusive Max Verstappen RB12 1:18 scale model Spanish GP

Published on 09 January 2017 by Niels Hendrix

On May 15th 2016, Max Verstappen drove his first Grand Prix for Red Bull Racing in Barcelona. He was eighteen at the time and made history by winning that race in Spain, the youngest Formula 1-driver ever. His first win in Formula 1 became a historic moment which, even today, still gives a lot of people goose bumps.

From that unique event, a 1:18 scale model is now available. Looking exactly like when Max crossed the finish line at the Spanish GP in his Red Bull Racing RB12. This model, with a special inlay is only available at the Verstappen web shop. Apart from that, only 1750 scale models are available in this limited and numbered edition. Don’t miss out!

As usual from Minichamps, the details of this scale model are of excellent quality. Max’ clenched fist out of the cockpit is immediately noticeable and the car has of course the correct white striped (medium) tyre. Another striking detail is the lack of the camera on the left side of the nose: that came off due to vibration in the opening stages of the race. Without doubt, this model is a work of art.

Update: All 1750 scale models have been reserved within 1,5 hours. As the model is part of a limited edition, the item is effectively sold out. However, there is always a possibility of orders being cancelled, therefore freeing up a model. We suggest you keep an eye on the Verstappen webshop should this situation occur.
